Continuing Education
Once the Certified Nursing Aide is placed on the Georgia state registry, he or she
must renew the certification every two years. Certified nurse aides must participate
in at least 12 hours of in-service education per year, which is offered by GKM Healthcare
Solutions team.
Reminder: Failure to renew your certification results in you being
taken off the CNAs being listed as inactive on the nurse aide registry. Inactive
CNA cannot work in a licensed Medicare/Medicaid facility and must be retested by
an approved testing site to be listed as active.
We offer two options:
1. The SELF-STUDY
OPTION allows your aides to learn at their own pace. You avoid the hassle and cost
of scheduling in-service meetings. And client care is not interrupted!
2. With the
GROUP-STUDY OPTION, little to no "prep" time is required! Stimulating discussion
questions are provided each month. So are engaging activities that spark learning
and team building among the class.
